Controlled Vocabularies
There are two types of controlled vocabularies that can be referenced by the "scheme" attribute:

Internal are those that are maintained by FISD/MDDL.

External are created by FISD/MDDL but the content is defined by an external source.

NOTE: Changing format to OASIS Codelist Representation
FISD sponsored the creation of the "Code List Representation Technical Committee" within OASIS to help define a common way of representing enumerated lists in conjunction with FpML, UBL, and other interests. Look forward to this change in the format of MDDL's Controlled Vocabularies.
